A hosted domain is a domain you add to your account (such as deXaweb.com) and we'll provide the hosting and/or email services for you. Seperate registration for domain names is required however you can register for one directly through your control panel for as low as $15/year.
A subdomain is a way to have a completely seperate site while still on the same domain. A good example for this would be "secure.yourdomain.com" where people could place an order for something you're selling. Other common uses would be "manage.yourdomain.com" where someone can login and manage the website.
This type of domain is used if you wish to not purchase a domain name but still want to be able to access the website through an easy to remember name instead of it's associated IP address. The name would look like: "yoursite.dexaweb.com."
This type of domain will not give you email or DNS service but allows for file storage via FTP so you don't need to remember an IP address. You have the option to make this accessible via a static IP as well and the URL would look like http://username.uxx.dexaweb.com
A domain alias allows you to have multiple domains pointing to the same website while still having the ability to have seperate email accounts. This is an easy method of redirecting multiple domains to a single site instead of writing a page for each domain you buy and having it redirect to the site.
