All packages that
we offer on both platforms (Basic/Intermediate/Advanced on Unix/Windows)
have the ability to be an e-commerce site! We currently offer two
different e-commerce packages, each designed to meet the needs you
require.
osCommerce
- Unix Account
If
you choose a Unix account, osCommerce would be the program you
would use. osCommerce is an online shop e-commerce solution
that is constantly undergoing development by the open source
community. This means that not only is it feature packed, but
also it's completely free as well! The only "catch"
is the need for a MySQL database to run the backend content
and hold your product information. |

| A MySQL database
is included as part of your account if you choose the advanced
unix package (actually you get two so you can keep one database
for the store and another for something totally different).
Otherwise, if you don't require all the features included with
the advanced package you can simply add a MySQL database to
your account directly through your website control panel. Everything
is web-based, including setting up the store for the first time
making it easy for anyone to setup the store and run it. You
don't need to know advanced PHP, SQL, or even HTML. As long
as you can fill in the boxes to describe your product and also
upload a picture you're set! More information about osCommerce

| Miva
Merchant - Windows Account
If you choose the Windows account your
e-commerce option would be the extremely powerful and versatile
Miva Merchant. The power of Miva's Merchant program is limited
only to your imagination as it supports multiple storefronts
allowing merchants to create and administer their store(s)
from anywhere in the world, all through a web-based browser.
The deXaweb price for the Miva software is $200.00 for setup
and $50.00/monthly and can be added at anytime directly through
your control panel. Just as with osCommerce, you don't need
anything more than the basic package to support the Miva store,
but if you plan to have a lot of customers and products the
additional bandwidth and storage space will come in handy!
